Raynham, MA (January 4, 2025) – A tragic single-car crash on East Britannia Street in Raynham claimed the lives of two individuals and left a third passenger critically injured late Monday night.

According to Raynham Police, a 2017 Hyundai Elantra veered off the road shortly after 9 p.m. on December 30, 2024, before going airborne and crashing into a tree. The force of the impact caused extensive damage, ejecting the driver and leaving two passengers trapped inside the vehicle, which was found leaning against the tree.

The driver, identified as 26-year-old Averi Costa-Burton of Fall River, succumbed to his injuries at Morton Hospital in Taunton. Passenger Dorryn Robinson, 28, of New Bedford, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second passenger, a 25-year-old man from Fall River, was flown to Rhode Island Hospital with life-threatening injuries. His identity has not been released.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash in collaboration with the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
