Barry County, MO (June 12, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash in Barry County Wednesday evening left one woman injured and both vehicles severely damaged along Missouri Route 39.

According to reports, the collision occurred around 6:00 p.m. on June 11, approximately two miles south of Shell Knob. The Missouri State Highway Patrol stated that a 2023 GMC Yukon was stopped in the roadway while waiting to make a left turn when a northbound 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer crashed into the back of the vehicle.

The driver of the Trailblazer, a 36-year-old woman from Shell Knob, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment. She had been wearing a seat belt. The driver of the Yukon, a 38-year-old man from Berryville, Arkansas, was not reported injured. Both vehicles required towing from the scene due to the extent of damage.
