ROBERTSON COUNTY, TX (January 11, 2025) – An 82-year-old man lost his life in a tragic head-on collision involving an 18-wheeler on Thursday morning in Robertson County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the fatal accident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on Highway 79 between Franklin and Marquez.
The victim, identified as Hugh Hall, was driving a 2022 Ford F-150 westbound in the eastbound lanes of Highway 79. His vehicle collided head-on with a 2010 Freightliner.
Hall was pronounced deceased at the scene. The condition of the Freightliner’s driver has not been reported, and no additional injuries have been confirmed.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this fatal crash.
