According to reports, members of the Masontown and Bruceton-Brandonville volunteer fire departments’ water rescue teams responded to the scene to reach the injured rider. The Maryland State Police Aviation Command then launched Trooper 5, a Cumberland-based helicopter team, to airlift the patient to safety.
