Mesa, AZ (July 15, 2025) — An early morning crash left a Jeep overturned and forced first responders to perform a challenging rescue on Monday.

According to reports, emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 4:55 a.m. to the intersection of North Greenfield Road and East Mallory Circle, near McKellips Road and McDowell Road in northeast Mesa. Mesa Fire & Medical designated the incident as a “2 in 1 Medical,” prompting a multi-unit response.

Crews from Station 208, Station 214, a Battalion Chief, and three ambulances arrived to find a Jeep lying on its side with the driver trapped inside. Firefighters began a mechanical extrication to cut through the vehicle and rescue the driver. A total of four people were involved in the two-vehicle crash. The Jeep’s driver was transported to a local hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Three others, who were in an SUV, were treated at the scene and left after gathering their belongings.

Northbound North Greenfield Road was closed at East Mallory Circle while Mesa Police and towing crews cleared the wreckage. Traffic was fully reopened by 7:00 a.m. The crash remains under investigation.
