Plattsburgh, NY (September 21, 2025) – A young motorcyclist was tragically killed Friday evening following a crash involving a pickup truck in downtown Plattsburgh, according to city police.
According to the New York State Police, officers responded to the scene around 8:20 p.m. on September 19. Investigators say Ronnie Gamble III, 21, of Peru, was operating a 2006 Honda motorcycle traveling westbound when it collided with a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado that was traveling north through an intersection.
Emergency personnel transported Gamble to the University of Vermont Health Network at CVPH, where he was later pronounced dead. The 27-year-old driver of the Chevrolet truck was not injured and was released at the scene.
Authorities closed the area for several hours as Plattsburgh City Police, along with the New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit, continued their investigation into the cause of the crash.
