Hardin County, KY (September 18, 2025) – A midday crash involving a school bus left two people injured Wednesday in Hardin County.
According to the Kentucky State Police, deputies responded to the scene around 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Patriot Parkway and Rineyville Big Springs Road. Investigators say a passenger car heading south on Patriot Parkway allegedly failed to stop at a red light and collided with a Hardin County school bus traveling eastbound.
Fortunately, no students were on the bus at the time of the accident. Only the driver and a bus monitor were aboard. The driver of the car sustained serious injuries and was flown to a hospital in Louisville for treatment. The bus driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Baptist Health Hardin.
