According to reports, the incident occurred on June 9, about five miles east of Wardville. Authorities said 62-year-old Henry Govan of Harrisburg, North Carolina, was operating a semi-truck when he experienced a medical episode behind the wheel.

Following the event, Govan’s truck crossed over the highway, crashed through a fence, and eventually came to rest in a nearby field. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and no other injuries were reported.

Emergency responders arrived on scene, but Govan was pronounced dead shortly after. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol continues to review the incident.
