According to reports, Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers were dispatched around 4:20 a.m. on June 27 to the intersection of U.S. Highway 84 and Native Oaks Road. Preliminary findings revealed that the driver of a Toyota Corolla failed to yield the right of way and crashed into a truck tractor semi-trailer.

The driver of the Corolla sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center for emergency care. Authorities reported no additional injuries, and the driver of the semi-truck was not hurt. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Texas DPS.
