Bowie County, TX (November 24, 2025) – A fatal crash involving two semi-trucks shut down a portion of Interstate 30 East near mile marker 198 in the early morning hours of Friday, November 23.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision occurred around 2:20 a.m. when a truck tractor pulling a semi-trailer struck the back right side of another 18-wheeler also heading eastbound. The impact caused both big rigs to lose control and come to rest across the roadway, spilling cargo and blocking traffic.
A passenger resting in the sleeper berth of the first truck tragically lost their life in the crash. No additional injuries were reported. Authorities are still piecing together the events leading up to the incident.
