Sullivan County, TN (August 6, 2025) — A high-speed collision involving a passenger car and a tractor-trailer resulted in one fatality and left two others injured Friday afternoon in Sullivan County.

According to reports, the crash occurred around 4:45 p.m. on August 2 along Highway 75. A 2020 Porsche Taycan was traveling northbound in the left lane at what the Tennessee Highway Patrol described as a “high rate of speed” when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The Porsche crossed into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a tractor-trailer.

The driver of the Porsche, identified as 51-year-old Hunter Morrow of Tennessee, died at the scene due to the impact. A passenger inside the Porsche, along with the driver of the semi-truck, both sustained injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Their current conditions have not been publicly disclosed.
