Ann Arbor, MI (September 20, 2025) – A serious crash involving a semi-truck shut down both directions of US-23 near M-14 for several hours Friday afternoon.
According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, the collision occurred around 5:30 p.m. on September 19, 2025, near Exit 42 northbound and Exit 45 southbound. The crash site, located just east of the M-14 and US-23 interchange, left debris scattered across the northbound and southbound lanes.
Aerial footage showed a semi-truck in a ditch off the northbound side of the freeway and a white SUV severely damaged in a nearby wooded area. The exact number of vehicles involved has not yet been confirmed.
Traffic was heavily impacted in both directions as all lanes of US-23 were closed until around 11 p.m. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
