Shaftsbury, VT (December 31, 2024) – A three-car crash on Route 7 in Sunderland claimed the life of a Manchester woman Monday evening, according to Vermont State Police.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:06 p.m. near mile marker 28.4. Police determined that Kathryn Brown, 68, was traveling northbound in a 2017 Chevy Traverse when she crossed the center line and collided with a southbound Dodge Sprinter.
The collision caused the Sprinter to roll onto its side, which led to a third car crashing into it. Brown’s Traverse veered down a small embankment before coming to a stop. Tragically, Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash, and no additional injuries have been reported at this time.
