SPRINGFIELD, MO (February 8, 2025) — A two-vehicle collision on Interstate 44, ten miles west of Springfield, resulted in injuries on Saturday afternoon, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
The crash occurred at approximately 3:41 PM when a 2015 Ram 1500, driven by a 56-year-old man from Carthage, attempted to change lanes and struck the side of a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The impact caused the Ram to veer off the roadway, strike a rock wall, and overturn.
The Ram’s driver and a 58-year-old female passenger, also from Carthage, sustained minor injuries and were transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The driver of the Jeep, a 30-year-old woman from Miller, was uninjured and able to drive away from the scene.
Missouri State Highway Patrol officers, including CPL D.W. Henley and TPR K.L. Elledge, responded to the accident.
