St. Joseph, MO (January 31, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash early Thursday morning left one person seriously injured and another with minor injuries on Route K, just north of Arcadia Street at the St. Joseph city limits.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 5:05 a.m. when a 24-year-old woman from St. Joseph, driving a 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass, failed to notice a 2016 Nissan Rogue slowing down to make a right turn. As a result, her vehicle rear-ended the Nissan, driven by a 76-year-old man from Amazonia.
Following the impact, the Oldsmobile crossed the center of the roadway and came to rest in a ditch, while the Nissan veered off the right side of the road and down an embankment. Emergency responders transported both drivers to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, where the woman was treated for serious injuries and the man for minor injuries.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
