St. Louis, MO – Crash on I-270 Injures One, Damages Two Vehicles

St. Louis, MO (January 7, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 270 westbound, just west of West Florissant Avenue, resulted in one moderate injury late Tuesday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:25 a.m. as a 2016 Jeep Wrangler and a 2023 Toyota Camry traveled westbound in lane 4. Authorities state that the Jeep, driven by a 34-year-old woman from St. Louis, slid on snow while traveling too fast for the roadway conditions. The Jeep spun to the right, and the Toyota, following at an unsafe distance, was unable to stop in time. While attempting to avoid the collision by moving left, the Toyota was struck by the Jeep’s rear-right side.

The Jeep driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported to SSM Health DePaul Hospital by Christian Hospital EMS. Both vehicles were damaged, with the Toyota towed from the scene.
