Peoria, AZ (August 23, 2025) – A serious T-bone collision involving seven people shut down part of State Route 74 west of Castle Hot Springs Wednesday afternoon, leaving multiple victims hospitalized.
According to reports, the crash happened around 2:30 p.m. on August 20 and involved a pickup truck and a four-door sedan. Fire officials said the pickup truck rolled onto its side, while the sedan suffered significant damage to the rear driver’s side.
Four adults were critically injured—one of whom was airlifted to the hospital, while the other three were transported by ground ambulance. An additional adult and a child were hospitalized in stable condition. One person at the scene declined transport.
The crash closed the westbound stretch of the freeway for over an hour. Authorities reopened the road shortly before 4 p.m. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
