Beckham County, OK (August 24, 2025) – A 17-year-old from Elk City lost their life in a violent rollover crash on a rural road in Beckham County Saturday afternoon, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
According to reports, the deadly incident occurred around 12:45 p.m. on August 23. The teen driver was headed westbound on County Road 1100 when the vehicle passed through the intersection at County Road 1940 at a high rate of speed and went airborne for more than 100 feet.
After landing, the vehicle continued traveling west for nearly 300 feet before leaving the roadway and rolling over approximately five times in an adjacent field. Both the driver and a passenger were ejected during the crash.
