According to the Connecticut State Police, the crash occurred around 5:25 p.m. on September 15 along Burnt Hill Road near Cone Road. The teen, identified as Erik Brooker, was riding a Honda CRF150 dirt bike when he lost control while attempting to navigate an S-curve.

Brooker veered off the roadway and struck a rocky embankment, which caused him to be thrown from the bike. Emergency crews from Hebron EMS responded to the scene and transported him to Marlborough Middlesex Clinic with life-threatening injuries. He was later pronounced dead.
