Chandler, AZ (August 7, 2025) — One person was hospitalized with burn injuries following a large townhome fire that broke out Wednesday afternoon in a Chandler neighborhood.
According to reports, firefighters from Chandler and Gilbert fire departments responded just after 4:00 p.m. on August 6, 2025, to a fire on Spartan Street, located south of Chandler Boulevard and west of Gilbert Road.
When crews arrived, they found heavy flames coming from a garage unit. The fire quickly spread to the attic and to an adjacent townhome. Aerial footage captured the aftermath, showing the garage completely destroyed and significant damage to the surrounding structure.
One individual at the scene suffered burns to their arms. Emergency responders treated the victim on-site before transporting them to Mercy Gilbert Medical Center for additional care.
