Sullivan County, TN (August 3, 2025) — A tragic collision in Sullivan County resulted in one fatality and sent two others to local hospitals Friday afternoon following a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a high-performance car.
According to reports, the Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to the scene around 4:45 p.m. on August 2. The accident occurred along Highway 75 when a northbound Porsche Taycan, reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed, lost control in the left lane. The vehicle crossed over the center lane and collided head-on with a southbound semi-truck.
Authorities confirmed that the driver of the Porsche, 51-year-old Hunter Morrow of Tennessee, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Porsche and the driver of the tractor-trailer sustained injuries and were transported to area hospitals for treatment.
Officials noted that all individuals involved were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
