Tucson, AZ (January 3, 2025) – The Pima County Medical Examiner has identified 81-year-old Martha Saldivar as the victim of a fatal car crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Mark and Valencia Roads in Tucson.
According to Tucson Police, the accident happened around 3 p.m. on January 1. Saldivar was driving west on West Valencia Road when her vehicle veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with another car at South Mark Road.
Initially, Saldivar declined medical attention at the scene but was later transported to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Two individuals in the other vehicle were also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities have not released further details about the crash as the investigation continues.
