Springfield, MO (August 20, 2025) – A serious two-vehicle collision in Greene County Tuesday morning left one driver injured after a car entered an intersection at high speed.
According to reports, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the accident at 9:37 a.m. on August 19, 2025. The crash occurred near Haseltine Road and Chestnut Expressway, about 72 feet west of Springfield.
Investigators said a 2010 Chevrolet Impala, driven eastbound by a 37-year-old Springfield woman, failed to yield to a red light and entered the intersection at a high rate of speed. The Impala collided with a northbound 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 26-year-old man, also of Springfield.
The Impala driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported by EMS to Cox South Hospital. Both vehicles suffered significant damage and were towed from the scene. The Silverado driver was not reported injured.
