According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, one vehicle overturned while the other struck a utility pole, snapping it in half. Horry County Fire Rescue confirmed that at least one person became trapped inside a vehicle and had to be freed by rescue personnel. One person was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
