Newberg Township, MI (August 10, 2025) — A Chicago woman was hospitalized Friday night, August 8, following a two-vehicle collision in Cass County. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to the scene at approximately 8:45 p.m., east of the intersection of M-60 and Woodlake Road in Newberg Township.
According to reports, investigators determined that 44-year-old Nora Gill of Chicago was traveling eastbound on M-60 when a westbound vehicle, driven by 19-year-old Logan King of Plainwell, Michigan, turned into her lane. Deputies say King failed to yield to oncoming traffic, causing the collision. Gill was transported by Newberg Township EMS to Three Rivers Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Assisting at the scene were Newberg Township Fire Department and EMS. Authorities say drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors, and the crash remains under investigation.
