Peoria, IL (August 23, 2025) – Emergency crews from the Peoria Fire Department responded early Friday morning to a two-vehicle crash involving a pick-up truck and an electric vehicle, which left one driver trapped inside their vehicle.
According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 7:29 a.m. near the intersection of North Orange Prairie Road and West American Prairie Drive. Upon arrival, first responders found the driver of the electric vehicle entrapped inside.
Using specialized rescue equipment, including cutters and spreaders, firefighters were able to safely open the driver’s side door and remove the individual from the vehicle.
