Molino, FL (December 16, 2025) – Four people were hurt, including two critically, in a serious two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 29 and Molino Road on Friday afternoon.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the collision happened on December 12 when an 86-year-old man from Birmingham, Alabama, failed to stop at a red light while driving a red Lexus SUV southbound on Highway 29. As he entered the intersection, a white Chevrolet SUV driven by a 39-year-old Molino woman was making a turn onto Molino Road from the northbound lanes.
The Birmingham driver and his 73-year-old female passenger were both critically injured and were airlifted as trauma alert patients to a Pensacola hospital. The Molino woman and her 40-year-old male passenger were also injured and taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment.
The crash caused full closures of both Highway 29 and Molino Road for several hours.
