Kansas City, KS (December 11, 2025) – A serious two-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 in Wyandotte County sent one man to the hospital with significant injuries on Tuesday morning, December 10.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 10:13 a.m. on eastbound I-70 near South 110th Street. A 2022 Kenworth semi truck reportedly side-swiped a 2023 Hyundai Tucson that was stopped in traffic ahead of it. The impact caused major damage to the Hyundai and left its driver, 52-year-old Keaton Landry II of Junction City, seriously injured. He was transported to the University of Kansas Hospital for treatment.
The semi truck’s driver, 53-year-old Johnnie McDuffie of Pace, Florida, was not injured. Both drivers were reportedly wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, and no other passengers were involved.
