Greene County, MO (September 18, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on Wednesday evening resulted in one driver being hospitalized after a collision east of Springfield.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash took place at approximately 6:00 p.m. on September 17 at the intersection of Farm Road 197 and Farm Road 132, roughly two miles east of Springfield. Authorities say a westbound 2015 Chevrolet Trax driven by a 54-year-old man from Columbia rear-ended a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder, also heading westbound.
The impact caused total damage to the Chevrolet, which had to be towed by Henry’s Towing of Brookline. The Nissan sustained moderate damage but was driven from the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to Cox North Hospital in Springfield with minor injuries. The driver of the Pathfinder, a 48-year-old man from Springfield, was not reported injured.
