Tyrone, PA (January 11, 2026) – A utility terrain vehicle (UTV) accident sent one minor to the hospital after a rollover incident occurred on Monday evening in Blair County.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, emergency units from Station 36 responded around 7:03 p.m. on January 8 to the intersection of Back Vail Road and South Eagle Valley Road following reports of a UTV that had overturned. Upon arrival, responders found a single UTV on the roadway and one injured minor who was treated at the scene before being transported to UPMC Altoona for further evaluation.
Fire and medical crews from Bald Eagle Volunteer Fire Company, Hookies Fire Company, Neptune Fire Company, and AMED assisted at the scene. All Tyrone units were later redirected to a separate call within the borough. The crash caused the roadway to be temporarily closed for approximately one hour. Pennsylvania State Police have taken over the investigation.
