VANCOUVER, WA (January 11, 2025) – A child sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle at the Townhouse Square Apartments on E. Mill Plain Boulevard Thursday afternoon, according to the Vancouver Police Department.
The accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on January 9 in the apartment complex parking lot.
Authorities reported that the boy was riding a bike when he emerged between two parked vehicles into the path of a moving vehicle. The boy, who was not wearing a helmet at the time, suffered critical injuries.
Emergency personnel transported the child to a local hospital for treatment.
The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Police have not released further details as the incident remains under investigation.
