Vancouver, WA (January 29, 2025) – A pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle Monday evening in Vancouver, according to the Vancouver Police Department.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. on January 27 at the intersection of Southeast 117th Avenue and Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard. Authorities reported that the pedestrian was attempting to cross Mill Plain Boulevard mid-block against a traffic signal when they were hit by an eastbound vehicle.
Emergency crews transported the victim to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver involved remained at the scene and was not suspected of driving under the influence.
