Washington County, MO – Motorcyclist Seriously Hurt on Hwy 21 Near Swallow Rd

Washington County, MO (May 13, 2025) – A 20-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash along Highway 21 near Swallow Road in Washington County.

According to reports, the crash took place around 3:15 p.m. on May 13 when the southbound 2007 Yamaha FZ6 motorcycle collided with the rear of a 2013 Chevrolet 3500 pickup truck, also traveling south. The impact ejected the motorcyclist, a young man from DeSoto.

He sustained serious injuries and was transported by the Washington County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South for further treatment. The driver of the Chevrolet, a 26-year-old man from Potosi, was reportedly uninjured. Both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene following the collision.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
