Dallas, TX (December 9, 2025) — Tragedy struck in Northwest Dallas on Saturday afternoon when a woman was found dead following a residential fire. Dallas Fire-Rescue units responded to the 3000 block of Sundial Drive around 1:38 p.m. on December 7 after receiving reports of a structure fire at a one-story home.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, fire crews arrived to find heavy flames engulfing the front of the residence. Firefighters launched an aggressive interior attack and successfully brought the blaze under control by 2:51 p.m.
While conducting a search of the home, firefighters discovered an adult woman unresponsive on the floor of one of the rooms. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office has taken custody of the body and will determine the official cause of death.
The origin of the fire remains under investigation.
