Morrisville, PA (September 24, 2025) – A tragic wrong-way collision involving a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck claimed the life of an 81-year-old woman from Yardley on Tuesday afternoon in Bucks County.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred around 1:15 p.m. on September 23 in the southbound lanes of Route 1, near the Pennsylvania Avenue interchange. Investigators say the elderly woman was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when her vehicle collided head-on with a tractor-trailer.
Chopper footage showed the woman’s car crushed between the semi-truck and a cement median.
