Long Beach, CA (November 1, 2025) – One person was killed Friday morning in a deadly collision on the San Diego (405) Freeway near the Long Beach (710) Freeway interchange, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at approximately 7:20 a.m. on October 31 on the northbound 405 Freeway. Two vehicles were involved in the collision. Paramedics from the Long Beach Fire Department arrived on scene and performed emergency life-saving efforts, but one individual was pronounced dead at 7:51 a.m.
Authorities have not released information on whether the second driver or any passengers sustained injuries.
A SigAlert was issued at 7:56 a.m., closing the HOV lane along with lanes 1 and 2 for several hours as authorities investigated and cleared the wreckage.
