Wise County, TX (November 8, 2025) – Three men were hospitalized Friday afternoon following a serious two-vehicle crash on Farm-to-Market Road 51 in southern Wise County, authorities reported.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened around 4:35 p.m. on November 7 near County Road 3696, just north of Springtown. The crash involved an SUV and an older model Toyota Corolla. One of the vehicles crashed into a pipe fence following the impact.
Emergency responders had to extricate one individual who was trapped in the wreckage. Two men riding in the Corolla were airlifted to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth with serious injuries. An elderly man who was driving the SUV was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Both directions of FM 51 were closed while emergency crews worked the scene. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
