SIKESTON, MO (January 3, 2025) – A collision between a motorized scooter and a Honda Pilot occurred Thursday evening on Sandywood Road, approximately three miles north of Sikeston, MO. Authorities report that the crash took place at 5:55 PM in Scott County.
According to preliminary information, a 55-year-old female from Benton, MO, was driving an Ascend motorized scooter northbound when it collided head-on with a 2017 Honda Pilot traveling southbound. The Honda Pilot, driven by a 34-year-old female from Sainte Genevieve, MO, sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
The scooter driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center for treatment. The Pilot’s driver was not reported injured.
The accident remains under investigation by authorities to determine the circumstances leading up to the crash.
