Fresno, CA (January 4, 2025) – At least one person sustained major injuries following a series of collisions Friday night in Fresno. The incidents occurred around 9:55 p.m. on the northbound Chestnut Avenue on-ramp leading to westbound State Route 180, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The preliminary investigation revealed that two vehicles initially collided, leading to another crash involving two additional vehicles in the same area.
A white Hyundai Sonata, a white Infiniti G35, a blue Chevrolet Suburban, and a white Volkswagen sedan were identified at the scene.
One person suffered significant injuries in the collisions and was transported for medical treatment. Another crash in the area caused property damage but no reported injuries.
CHP officers continue to investigate the sequence of events and the circumstances that led to the crashes.
