According to reports, the collision occurred around 5:21 p.m. on August 22 near Exit 91. A van rolled over and came to rest in the slow lane after being struck by another vehicle, which fled the scene before authorities arrived.
An off-duty Tulare County Sheriff’s Office deputy who witnessed the crash stopped to assist the victim before emergency personnel reached the area.
