El Cajon, CA (August 23, 2025) – A man was killed in a tragic hit-and-run incident early Sunday morning after being struck by an SUV while lying on a sidewalk in El Cajon, authorities confirmed.
According to reports, the crash took place around 12:58 a.m. on August 17 in the 400 block of Chase Avenue. Officials said the SUV veered off the roadway, mounted the sidewalk, and crashed into a utility pole and a fire hydrant before hitting 50-year-old Jim Misao Frazee, who was lying on the sidewalk.
