Pembroke, NY (August 23, 2025) – A devastating rollover crash involving a tour bus traveling from Niagara Falls to New York City claimed five lives and left dozens of others injured on Friday afternoon on Interstate 90, according to authorities.
According to reports, the crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. on August 23 on the eastbound side of the highway near Pembroke, roughly 25 miles east of Buffalo. Investigators say the bus driver became distracted and lost control of the vehicle, overcorrected, and sent the bus off the road before it overturned.
The bus was carrying 54 passengers ranging in age from 1 to 74. Five adults were pronounced dead at the scene.
