Topeka, KS (August 28, 2025) – A single-vehicle accident occurred Wednesday afternoon in Topeka when a driver lost control while navigating a highway ramp, resulting in injuries.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash took place at approximately 3:36 p.m. on August 27, 2025, on the ramp from U.S. Highway 40 to northbound K-4. Authorities reported that a 2015 Ford Fusion, driven by 18-year-old Bradynn W. Taylor of Meriden, Kansas, veered off the roadway for unknown reasons.
The vehicle exited on the east side, traveled through the median, and crossed over the U.S. 40 on-ramp before coming to rest just off the highway. Emergency responders transported Taylor to Stormont Vail Hospital with suspected minor injuries. He was reported to have been wearing a seatbelt at the time. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Heartland Recovery.
