Wichita, KS (August 31, 2025) – A tragic multi-vehicle crash in east Wichita Saturday night has left two women dead and another hospitalized.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. on August 30 at the intersection of Central Boulevard and Webb Road. Authorities say a black Chevrolet truck was traveling eastbound on Central when it struck a white BMW and a gray Jeep moving south on Webb. The two women inside the BMW, ages 25 and 42, suffered fatal injuries. The younger woman was transported to a local hospital but was later pronounced deceased. The 42-year-old was declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the Jeep was not injured. Meanwhile, the 80-year-old driver of the Chevrolet remains in the hospital and is expected to face charges. Police suspect speed and alcohol may have contributed to the crash.
