Buffalo, NY (September 10, 2025) – An alleged drunk driver was taken into custody Sunday night following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Bailey Avenue and Genesee Street that involved a church van carrying several children.
According to the Buffalo Police Department, officers responded to the scene shortly after 9:00 p.m. on September 8. The crash occurred as the van was traveling eastbound on Genesee Street and attempting a left turn onto Bailey Avenue when it was struck by a black SUV.
The SUV was driven by 52-year-old Nathaniel Graham, who police say showed visible signs of impairment. Graham underwent a field sobriety test before being arrested and later charged with two counts of Driving While Intoxicated. A breathalyzer test was administered after his arrest.
Buffalo Fire Department personnel were also on the scene to assist. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported among the children or other individuals involved.
The crash remains under investigation.
