Montague Township, NJ (September 16, 2025) – A young motorcyclist was killed Saturday evening after his bike left the roadway and struck a rock along Route 23 in Montague Township.

According to the New Jersey State Police, the crash occurred just before 7 p.m. on September 13 near milepost 49. Authorities say 20-year-old Clayton Woodley, of Milford, Pennsylvania, was riding southbound when his motorcycle veered off the right side of the highway.

The motorcycle collided with a rock, ejecting Woodley from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved, and the cause of the crash is under investigation.

Troopers remained on site for several hours following the incident.
