Las Vegas, NV (September 17, 2025) — A devastating crash in central Las Vegas claimed the life of one person Monday morning after an SUV collided with a semi-truck, according to local authorities.
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision occurred just after 10:30 a.m. on September 15 along eastbound Washington Avenue near Decatur Boulevard. Investigators say the semi-truck was pulling out of a private drive when an SUV traveling eastbound crashed into the left side of the truck’s trailer.
The SUV was reportedly speeding before it became wedged beneath the semi-truck. The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was taken into custody on suspicion of impairment.
