According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 7:37 a.m. on September 17 near mile marker 5.4. A 2017 Dodge Charger driven by Seeti N. Paskali of Wichita struck the rear of a 2012 Nissan 370Z that had slowed in traffic. Officials noted that Paskali was following too closely before the collision.
A passenger in the Dodge, identified as 15-year-old Debora Love, was transported to Wesley Medical Center with suspected minor injuries. Paskali was reportedly unhurt and made private towing arrangements. The Nissan’s driver, 23-year-old Jessica J. Hernandez of Haysville, sustained suspected minor injuries but declined transport. Both vehicles were insured.
