Austin, TX (September 23, 2025) – A tragic wrong-way crash claimed the life of a young man early Thursday morning in North Austin. The incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. on September 18 in the 12200 block of North Interstate 35, near Tech Ridge Boulevard.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision involved a southbound passenger vehicle that entered the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 and crashed into an 18-wheeler and another car. Authorities identified the deceased as 24-year-old Victor Lamar Evans II. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
