Ponchatoula, LA (September 24, 2025) – A serious three-vehicle crash sent multiple people, including three young children, to area hospitals Monday evening in Tangipahoa Parish.
According to the Ponchatoula Police Department, officers were dispatched to the scene around 6:27 p.m. on September 22. The crash occurred on Highway 51 North near St. Patrick’s Boulevard and involved a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado, a 2014 GMC Terrain, and a 2024 Hyundai Tucson.
A total of nine individuals were involved—three drivers and six passengers. Among the passengers were three children aged 2, 5, and 7, who were flown by air-med to Our Lady of the Lake-Children’s Hospital due to the severity of their injuries. The remaining victims were transported to North Oaks Medical Center and Lakeview Hospital.
Blood kits were administered to two of the drivers as part of the ongoing investigation. Police are urging anyone with information to contact the department.
